How do I post files to my blog?

You can blog any file you see in your account or in the Filemobile community.

First you'll have to configure an external blog. You can do that by going to any of the blog sites that we support (Blogger,Typepad, Movable Type, LiveJournal, WordPress). After you set up your blog, click on ‘Blog This’ while viewing your files in Details mode in the Mediastudio. At this point, if you haven’t already set up your blog upload settings, you will be guided through the process with our easy to use Blog Setup Wizard. When you’ve completed the steps, try a test post to make sure everything works.

Once that's done, you can blog any file you see on Filemobile. When you're looking at a single photo, for example in details view of the community section, you'll notice the "Blog This" button next to it.

When you are ready to publish from the Mediastudio, you’ll find the ‘Blog This’ button located on the ‘Toolbar’ in the ‘Details’ view of your media.

You can set up as many blogs as you like.

You can also create your own Filemobile moblog. See below for more on that.

Which blogging services does Filemobile support?

You must already have an account with one of the blog services listed below to post media to your blog site.

We currently support the following blogs:

1. Blogger

2. Typepad

3. Movable Type

4. LiveJournal

5. WordPress

How do I start my moblog?

In order for you to moblog (send a file from mobile phone directly to your blog) you must do three things. First, you have to set up a blog account. If you haven’t already done this, click here to view the video tutorial. Second, you need to request your special email for uploading to Filemobile via email (get this address from the Dashboard page). Lastly, you will need to have the moblogging setting selected. Use your dashboard to adjust your setting.

When you upload photos via email, use the subject line to give your photo a title and the body of the email to give it a description. These will be carried over to your blog entry.

My mobile phone service provider adds a signature image in all the posts I send from my phone! How do I stop that?

Unfortunately, there is not a lot we can do about this. Every mobile provider structures there emails differently. If there is a problem that you would like us to look into, email us here support(@)filemobile.com, and we will address your concerns as quickly as possible.
